The
"SAVE" Cooperative Purchasing Group is composed of public agencies
within the State of Arizona that have joined together in an effort to jointly
competitively bid and award certain contracts in an effort to promote further
competition in the public procurement process.
The
goal of "SAVE" being to lower contract prices through volume bidding
and to obtain maximum service quality as provided by contracted vendors. Other
objectives of "SAVE" are to reduce duplication of bidding efforts by
public agencies seeking similar materials and services, to provide for monthly
networking opportunities between participating public agencies and to improve
the efficiency and economy of the public procurement process.
Our
meetings are now held the 3rd Wednesday of each month (with the exception of
July and December). Other meetings and locations may change if necessary.
Also, on June 20, 2007, SAVE was invited to combine its meetings and
officers with the statewide purchasing consortium known as the Greater
Phoenix Consortium of Schools (GPPCS).
S.A.V.E. is proud to partner with GPPCS; however,
both consortiums will retain their autonomy . The combination of meetings
and officers is only to facilitate certain efficiencies for both groups. The
S.A.V.E. Consortium uses this web site to list contracts and officer names.
Any governmental agency wishing to join S.A.V.E. may contact Sharon Brause,
an officer for S.A.V.E. membership. SAVE, like GPPCS has no registered
vendor list.
